New maxi coat

Hat - c/o Karmaloop | Jumper - Random shop in Paris | Trousers - H&M | Cardigan - H&M | Coat - Charity Shop | Boots - La Halle aux Chaussures (Paris)

I've been lusting after a full length coat for absolutely ages, I initially wanted a camel one. However, when I came across this navy wool & cashmere blend for a mere £14.99 I couldn't pass it up!
Having never styled a coat like this before, I thought it would be fun to keep the look quite androgynous whilst still keeping certain elements of the outfit feminine enough to maintain some kind of balance.
To do this I just threw on a cropped jumper (feminine cut) with a high neckline (ensuring the outfit still maintained quite a masculine aspect) and I wore the rather masculine shaped trousers high up on my waist in order to maintain a more feminine silhouette.
Having a bit of skin showing in the form of good old ankle cleavage also helped me maintain my femininity, flashing my ankles like a Victorian strumpet... Naughty!

I am studying all day today so I had to make sure I was comfortable. But then again when are my outfits ever anything other than comfortable! Anyway, I'm writing this during my little study break so I better get my ass back to work before I give up completely!

So, how do you guys feel about maxi coats, cardi's and occasional ankle exposure?

  2. I love that coat! Looksso good on you, whereas for me, I always find it so hard to find even normal length coats without them sticking out on the sides haha
